National I-Corps Team Nomination

The Northeast I-Corps Hub has introduced a new, centralized process for nominating teams to the National I-Corps Teams program. The updated process includes a rolling pool of candidates, quarterly review cycles, and a shared evaluation rubric so teams understand how they’ll be assessed.

To be considered, teams must either:

  • Have an active or recent NSF research award in a relevant science or engineering field, or
  • Have completed a local or regional I-Corps training offered by our Hub.

Teams should submit an Executive Summary outlining who is on the team, their roles and backgrounds, and details about the innovation they plan to explore. The technology must meet NSF’s standards for technical innovation and intellectual merit.

Nominations from the form will be based on the strength of the team, the potential market impact of the innovation, and how close the team is to identifying a real product-market fit. The goal is to support strong, diverse teams across our network and help them move closer to bringing impactful technologies to market.
