Deepika is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at Princeton University in the Department of Molecular Biology, where she aims to contribute to the field of regenerative medicine by understanding the precise mechanisms of cell-cell communication during mammalian development. She has a multi-disciplinary background, having received her B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley. She has worked at a variety of startups in the Bay Area, in therapeutic areas ranging from antibody therapeutics to cell and gene therapies. She brings her entrepreneurial experience and scientific expertise to Nucleate, where she serves as Director of Expert and Mentor Relations. At Nucleate, Deepika is responsible for ensuring that the teams participating in the Activator Program are given personalized mentorship and access to expertise specific to their needs, with the goal of supporting academic entrepreneurs as best as possible. Deepika enjoys collaborating across functions, is data-driven, and is passionate about serving patient populations across the globe.
