Gillian is Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Rapid Ventures, a climate tech acceleration studio, and has over 23 years of experience in capital markets, impact venture investing, blended finance, real assets, clean energy, fintech, and climate tech with organizations like JP Morgan, Citigroup, Société Générale, and Lockheed Martin. Most recently, Gillian was the Managing Director of Uptake Alliance, a $8.5M NYSERDA-funded climate tech accelerator. She spent 9 years at Lockheed Martin Energy leading the strategy team that assisted energy efficiency and clean tech startups in accelerating their solutions to commercialization by partnering them with utility, commercial, and industrial clients. For the past 8 years, Gillianhas partnered with incubators and accelerators, such as Cleantech Open Northeast, Columbia Technology Ventures, Urban Future Lab, Innovate UK, Offshore Wind Innovation Hub, NSF I-Corps, Greenshot (Dartmouth College), Techstars, and Village Capital as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence advising early stage and growth stage startups on topics such as customer discovery, market segmentation, and capital strategy. Gilliansits on various startup advisory boards including Akava, Munivestor, 10Power, and Rune. Gillian has an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a BA in Political Science from Rutgers College.
