
[Ikechukwu “Ike” Nwabufo is the I-Corps Program Manager at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), where he operationalizes the NSF I-Corps program for translating and commercializing university research through strategic program promotion, participant and instructor recruitment, cohort coordination, financial oversight, post-cohort engagement and institutional expansion and outreach.
Before joining NJIT and the NSF I-Corps Northeast Hub, Ike was the Founder and Managing Partner of a commercial services law firm in Abuja, Nigeria. With over 18 years of multisectoral expertise, he has provided consulting services to over 250 businesses worldwide. His areas of specialization include legal and business consulting, entrepreneurship development, intellectual property management, regulatory compliance, investment advisory, corporate finance, commercial dispute resolution, organizational management, and corporate governance. Ike also served as an Arbitrator at the Federal High Court of Nigeria Alternative Dispute Resolution Center and a Notary Public of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Ike holds an MBA with a concentration in Effective Leadership from Drexel University, an LLM in International Commercial Law from the University of Salford, Manchester, UK, and an MBA with a specialization in Finance & Investment from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. A licensed attorney since 2006, he also holds, a J.D. from the Nigeria Law School/Council of Legal Education, a Certificate of Call to the Nigeria Bar and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB, Hons) from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
