
Sylvia Okoye serves as a Program Coordinator for the I-Corps Northeast Hub. Along with her fellow coordinators, she assists with the daily management of the Hub and aids participating teams before, during and after their participation in I-Corps programs.
Before joining Princeton, Sylvia helped aspiring entrepreneurs start their businesses at Rochester Institute of Technology's Center for Urban Entrepreneurship. She helped entrepreneurs from underrepresented groups begin their business journeys by creating business plans, connecting them with resources, and preparing them for business pitch competitions to raise funds. Sylvia was also responsible for housing stability during the pandemic via the Housing Help NJ program at the Housing and Community Development Network of NJ (HCDNNJ). She has worked in the nonprofit and higher education sector for 10 years.
Sylvia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Wheaton College and a Master of Engineering in Technical Entrepreneurship from Lehigh University.
